CCPM received a generous funding disbursement from the John T. Gorman Foundation to enhance the Theresa Fund by administering the 2nd annual Helping Hands for Health (HHH) mini-grants. All CCPM member organizations were eligible to apply for a mini-grant up to $2,500 to be used for items or services that support patients’ basic needs. Unique from the general Theresa Fund, items purchased under HHH were to be available to any patient at their facility, rather than for a specific individual request. In 2023, the HHH mini-grant funding financially supported 15 organizations (a 100% acceptance rate based on a short application process) to help bridge gaps for patient health-related needs. Given that the mini-grant project supports purchases of bulk items that serve common needs for many patients, an estimated 1,300 patients were served across the 15 organizations.
